LOAV - Procedures
You can approach Bad Voeslau Airfield both with VFR and IFR procedures. Please adhere strictly to them, any deviation has to be approved by the Airport Manager either before you file your flight plan or over the radio at frequency 118.6 MHz.
ATTENTION: Use of the transponder in LOAV
Effective June 1st, 2004 the following transponder codes have to be used in the airspace around Voeslau airport in addition to the standard codes used in Austrian airspace (VFR: 7000 or assigned by ATC) :
- All arrivals to LOAV use code 4001
- All departures from LOAV use 4002
- All traffic inside the assigned traffic patterns use 4004
- Voeslau tower can issue, if necessary, transponder codes between 4000 and 4017
The changeover from /to transponder code 7000 (or assigned by ATC) should be done within a 20nm radius from LOAV
